Broken handle
hace 5 meses
This was a very handy laundry basket. until the center handle broke. It broke where the handle attaches to the body of the basket. Maybe a slight change with a taper at that point on both sides of the handles, for more strength.

Nice for a large load
hace 6 meses
I fint the hip hugger laundry, large enough and efficient. It has just enough space for a large load of laundry. No scent of plastic and great color.
I've been using these baskets for years! They are made super tough and can carry a lot of weight! I use them to go around the house and pick up dirty clothes. I also use them for socks or weekly clothes. It makes it so much easier to throw everything in the basket and take it to the couch! There's been times when I've had to go to the laundromat, and this basket helped so much! I was able to get all our clothes and detergent in it without it breaking! These are quality baskets, and they will last a very long time!
This is used for laundry and to help out baby learn to sit up - definitely getting our money's worth! It is very durable, we've had ours for years. It holds quite a bit and is easy to carry.
I like the fact that I can hold the basket on my hip and use my other hand to conveniently collect leftover clothes. It's the little things that makg a big difference! Compared to its quality, its price is also very reasonable because this basket is especially durable, even if it falls or holds heavy items, it will still be intact. It has held up well for many years. The ease of cleaning the inside of the basket is also remarkable as you only need to wipe it with a wet paper towel. I recommend it!
These things are indestructible. They hold way more than laundry and I have used them to get so much stuff up and down the basement stairs, it's ridiculous. Easy to "hold on your hips" and don't come with a strange smell.
I’m not sure what reason an able bodied human who does laundry, stores items, uses receptacles would NOT want, nor use, one of these all purpose collectors of things. Even my cat finds great uses for it. I have used it for its “intended” purpose, which was to take dirty laundry to/folded laundry from the part of my home where laundry gets handled, but I’ve also used it for storing clothing, cleaning products/rags/etc, shoes, random uncategorized items that needed to be contained, and for everyone’s least favorite: moving! This is as multipurpose as it gets, and won’t ever be not needed.
Oh, it’s served as a birthing center for cats, a bedroom/napping area for cats, a playpen for cats, a time out space for cats, a place to gather up multiple small cats at one time, a jungle gym for cats, a hiding spot for cats, a catbox for cats 😠, and a jail cell for cats.
My only gripe is that, inevitably, one or more of the handles will snap off. This is more than just a cosmetic issue, as when you are carrying a heavy load, that grip (or lack thereof) can dig into your hand/fingers and it’s quite painful. I’m not sure why they are constructed this way, as they don’t snap a lid into place or do anything than provide a secure place to hang on. I’ve noticed in “off brand” cheap models of this same style, those same handles are not reinforced and they just snap, rendering the handle useless.
That said, I’m still giving it a 5 star “perfect” rating, because it’s THAT essential.
Anyway, if someone gifted me a stack of these, I would be super grateful!
Go out and get one. Or if you happen to see one on sale, buy it. You’ll use it. Or gift it. Or your cat will use it.
It’s a great laundry basket. It’s durable but the handle broke off I am able to put them back on but they keep coming off. But this is easy to carry and not expensive either.
